Has anybody noticed that of all the celebrity Kabbalists, not a single one is an actual Jew? Like the kind who misbehaved in Hebrew school and covertly consumes bacon at breakfast buffets? Like the kind who thought one Jewish cult — the Hasids — was plenty? Like the kind who never heard of Kabbalah until Madonna became a Kabbalah missionary? And oh, speaking of Madonna, does she know that Jews very specifically forbid missionary work? That little nugget might have kept her out of trouble with a certain ball player this week. Then again, the lady loves trouble.
