Oh, please. Stop acting like such a self-righteous, literal-minded killjoy about the word “MILF.” It’s not misogynistic. It’s not lame. And it does not imply that “most women who have carried a child to term aren’t fuckable.” In fact, it’s the exact opposite, and all your Conde Nast-employed, celebrity-obsessed readers know it because they aspire to it. Simply put, MILF is a synonym for hot mom and the pre-Palin proliferation of the acronym just goes to show how modern motherhood has empowered women to reclaim their prenatal looks and sexual confidence. From one mom to another, getting the MILF nod is a cheeky, welcome compliment that has nothing to do with men or their sexual desire, and everything to do with womanly appreciation for maintaining a veneer of self-respect amidst the chaos of child-rearing. Taking offense to the word MILF seems prude, and not a little naive about what moms want. You’ll see. But I promise, I’ll never say, “I told you so.”

And LiLo’s SamRo love looks like her best career move yet. Maybe gay dudes who’ve got the chops have something to learn from these non-dykey dynamos: Trade flamey-ness for hetero-hotness and get a macho fuck buddy who appears to enjoy bar brawls. Problem solved!
