Like Coco for Barneys, I am currently splayed across the Aga in my Christopher Kane. A workday without the nanny is one tough gig!

When I was a little girl, one of my most memorable wearables was my “arrow T.” On the front, an up arrow pointed to my “punim,” and on the back, a down arrow pointed to my “tush.” It was purple tie-dye, and I wish I had packed it away for my daughter. Alas. Karl Lagerfeld created the next best thing while at Chloe over two-and-a-half decades ago, about the same time I was running around in my “arrow T.” At left is his cheeky, very adult, slightly S&M version of my childhood fave, sourced by the industrious Cameron Silver in L.A. Everybody likes a directional girl.

I am wondering if this uncharacteristically chic Hickey Freeman ad evokes something of what it must feel like for the Lehman people: All dressed up and hot to trot, but totally stuck and no place to go. Man, it’s gotta suck.
