If you’ve got a liberal skin doc like I do, surely she’s told you on every visit, like mine has, that the type of melanoma for which John McCain has been treated puts his life expectancy at about two years. Now Allure has come out with more melanoma news of political interest that, depending on your worldview, is either frightening or heartening: Women who use tanning beds monthly have a 158% greater chance of contracting the disease. Lucky for Sarah Palin, who installed cancer coffins in the governor’s mansion, she doesn’t believe in science.
