What does Anna Wintour want from Hillary Clinton now? After very publicly reprimanding my homegirl for rejecting a Vogue shoot earlier this year, A-Dubs wrote HRC a little love note in her November Editor’s Letter:

“A transcendent figure has been Hillary Clinton. She
has made an important intervention in the lives of all American women, not simply with her drive and catalyzing energy but by keeping issues of special concern to us — health care, reproductive rights, education — at the forefront of political thinking.”

See what I mean? A-Dubs doesn’t lavish praise without some kind of quid pro quo, and it’s hard to see what A-Dubs could want from HRC at the moment. An audience with Bill is easy for just about any woman to come by — oh wait, is this that kind of announcement-cum-apology? Or does she simply want HRC to chair the Met Ball?
